Fa’avae i le Aganu‘u, Ta‘ita‘ia e le Faatuatua, Tuputupu aʻe ma le Alofa
E pei lava o le aiga.
Fa‘atuatuaina e auga-tupulaga o aiga Sāmoa i Aukilani.
Faavae Mautu Aoga Amata is a Samoan full language immersion early childhood centre that has served families in Mount Roskill for over 30 years. What began as a small playgroup in a family garage has grown into a trusted aoga amata rooted in faith, culture, and love.
Our name means “Strong Foundation,” and that’s what we aim to give every child who comes through our doors. We believe early learning is not just about preparing for school — it’s about nurturing identity, confidence, and connection to one’s aiga and culture.
At Faavae Mautu, children are surrounded by the values of fa’aaloalo (respect), alofa (love), and tautua (service). These are not just ideas — they shape our curriculum, our relationships, and our way of teaching. We are a Christian-based centre that weaves prayer, language, and spiritual growth into daily learning.
We proudly teach in both Samoan and English, supporting tamaiti to be confident in both worlds. Our kaiako (teachers) are experienced, caring, and deeply connected to the families they serve. Parents are always welcome — whether it’s reading learning portfolios, attending fiafia nights, or simply having a chat during drop-off.
For over three decades, we’ve remained committed to our vision: to raise strong, grounded children who know who they are and where they come from.
